Army of TWO: The Devil's Cartel Review

Electronic Arts' Army of Two series has been known for its action-packed gameplay and co-op features. Now, the third installment in this popular franchise is here with more explosive fun as you take on hordes of enemies alone or alongside a partner-in-arms.

The game follows from where the previous titles left off - in the midst of chaos and destruction. Players will once again assume control of two elite operatives known only by their codenames, Alpha and Bravo. Their mission is to uncover a powerful alien artifact that could spell disaster for humanity if falls into wrong hands.

Gameplay-wise, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartal sticks closely to the tried-and-tested formula introduced in its predecessors. You'll still be expected to navigate through various environments such as city streets, abandoned buildings and military bases while taking down waves upon waves of enemies using a variety of guns and special moves at your disposal.

One thing that sets this installment apart from others is its focus on co-op play. The game allows two players to team up either locally via split-screen or online for some intense action-packed fun together with an added layer of strategy thrown into the mix thanks largely due in part because both characters have unique abilities which can complement each other perfectly when used correctly.

Graphically speaking, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartal looks pretty good considering it runs on current-generation hardware. However, there are some minor framerate issues here and there that may detract from overall experience especially during intense boss battles where everything seems to slow down slightly making progress feel more labored than usual.

Overall though, if you're a fan of action-packed third-person shooters with great co-op features then Army of Two: The Devil's Cartal should definitely be worth checking out. It might not reinvent the wheel in terms of gameplay but it certainly delivers plenty of fun and excitement along the way making for an enjoyable experience either solo or alongside a partner-in-crime.
